Profe Victoria

Victoria has been teaching online for the past six years and has a Bachelor's Degree of Arts with a major in Spanish and a Minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has tutored Spanish for all ages and levels. We believe learning should be fun, exciting, and stress-free (especially when learning a second language!) Our goal will be to help your child feel comfortable in class and always excited to come back for more!

Victoria grew up in a bilingual family- her dad was from Quebec and his first language was French. He never spoke French with her growing up so she missed out on the opportunity to learn French but more importantly she missed out on having a close relationship with her grandparents and many aunts and uncles because of the language barrier. Fast forward, and she was homeschooled for a time when a second language was not available but she was so interested in other languages and pretended to speak them all the time. When she started public school in rural Vermont there was still no opportunity to learn a language. It wasn't until she was 17 that she finally was able to start learning Spanish and fell in love with it immediately. It just felt right and actually clicked like no other topic in school.

Today, Victoria finds so much joy in bringing the gift of language to young children. She believes that young children are in the perfect window for learning languages and wants to make this opportunity available to many more littles! She aims to make classes so much fun that kids forget they are even learning. She can’t wait to see you in the classroom!

Profe Isis

Profe Isis is originally from El Salvador. When she was 11 years old, her family moved to the United States. It was challenging for her to learn a new language, but it was fun at the same time. She remembers that those were the most fun classes in school. She would even go to summer school because she liked them so much.  Thanks to all her effort and the effort and help from her teachers, she finally learned English and became bilingual.  Now that she is a parent she likes to show her kids how useful and fun it is to know more than one language!  She gets super excited and thankful every time they ask her what any Spanish word means.  She volunteered in an English as a Second Language class for a few years and that gave her a sense of accomplishment, she took it as a chance to give back what she had received in those ESL classes as a student herself.  She also had the privilege of working as an interpreter at a hospital which was yet another way to help her community and feel the impact of being bilingual.

Since she became a parent, and her kids became of school age, she has been able to volunteer in her kid’s schools.  Before COVID, she volunteered a lot at their schools. While volunteering she came to appreciate the love for learning through kid's eyes. She finds it amazing how quickly they learn!  Their love and enthusiasm for learning new things is so mind-blowing and it makes her super excited to be able to be a part of this special process of learning and growing for them! She is also grateful to be able to share how fun and exciting learning a new language can be!

Profe Dina

Profe Dina is from Virginia and is currently living in Kansas. Her parents immigrated to the U.S. from El Salvador. Growing up Dina and her parents would travel to El Salvador once every year to see family. It was a very special experience and something she has been able to share with her own children now. Dina’s first language was Spanish and she later learned English once she started kindergarten. Learning a new language was intimidating, but in the end it has had its rewards!

Dina has worked as a translator for the school district, translating for teachers, parents, and students. Being able to translate for the school district has been very rewarding to Dina. It reminds her of when she would have to translate for her own parents growing up. She has also worked as an ELL para at the middle school level and as a Parent Educator in the head start program.

Dina graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2017. Since then, she has had 2 children of her own. Teaching her children about their culture and the language is very important to her. Dina believes that learning a new language opens so many doors and expands one’s world! Dina is super excited to be a part of your child’s language learning journey and hopes it will open many doors, like it has for her!

Señor Steele

Steele decided he would teach Spanish from the young age of twelve when his uncle, a professor, visited him and talked about his job. Steele later volunteered to do mission work in Mexico City for the duration of two years and learned all he could about the Spanish language and Latin American culture, subjects he fell in love with.

Upon his return, he began studying Spanish Education at Brigham Young University-Idaho while studying a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). He has worked for the last three years in various jobs that have given him opportunities to be exposed to school settings. He has worked as a paraprofessional in multiple schools in Washington and Idaho. He has also worked as the head coach of the girls soccer program at a middle school in Washington. More recently, he has worked the last three years as a substitute teacher in Idaho and an Intervention Technician for the last two years for kids with special needs.

Steele is passionate about all things Spanish. He loves teaching it, studying it, and most of all, putting it all into practice by returning to Mexico often. Steele is so excited to have your kids enroll in his class and can't wait to be a part of their learning process.
